How does South Florida Maids work?

South Florida Maids is one of the leading providers of home cleaning services in the Southern Florida area. There is no easier way to schedule a professional home cleaning.

Do you service my area?

You can see a list of cities we service on the service area page. We will be expanding our service area in the future.

How much will it cost?

Our pricing is based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Simply go to our booking page and enter this information and you will see your price calculated for you.

Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?

Yes, our cleaners bring all supplies and equipment needed to provide the service. We only use high-quality equipment including microfiber cloths and mop pads, HEPA-filter vacuums, and microfiber dusters to guarantee the ultimate care for your home.

How do I book my first appointment?

Simply click Book Now and fill out the booking form. We ask you to describe your home (how many bedrooms and bathrooms), choose any optional extras you might want, and securely confirm payment. Future bookings are even faster once you’ve registered — get a cleaner in one click!

What if I won’t be home on the day?

Easy, just tell us how the maids can gain entry in the special instructions when you make your booking. Most customers leave a key under the mat, in a lock box, or provide a code for the garage door so that we can get in and out of their home for the service when they are not home. Our teams are very trustworthy and will be sure to lock up afterward.

Do you offer green or eco-friendly cleaning?

Yes, we use green, eco-friendly cleaning supplies that are safe, good for the environment, and don’t contain any harsh chemicals.

What makes South Florida Maids different from the competition?

We are family-owned and committed to quality. We use environmentally safe, eco-friendly cleaning products and offer instant online quotes & booking. All of our employees go through rigorous testing, background and reference checks, and a strict interview process. We don’t use contractors, and less than one in 50 candidates makes the cut. How do I log into my account?

You can log in to your account at this link to make changes to your bookings or to schedule new service.

If you forget your password please select “I forgot my password” and you will be able to make password changes.

How do I change my address?

You can log in to your account at this link to make changes to your address.

How do I change my credit card?

You can log in to your account at this link to change your credit card or contact us and we’ll help you get it updated.

How do I cancel or reschedule my cleaning?

You can log in to your account to cancel or reschedule your booking. You can also contact us in a variety of ways including online chat, phone at (888) 356-2473, or email hello@southflmaids.com.

Please note that there is a $100 cancellation fee if a change or cancellation is made less than 48 hours before your service is scheduled. All changes or cancellations must be made through the online booking system or email.


What is included in a standard cleaning?

South Florida Maids has a cleaning checklist that your cleaning professional will follow. You can leave additional notes in your account after checkout, by contacting us, or by providing instructions during your cleaning.

The following extra services are available if selected at checkout: inside the fridge, inside the oven, inside windows, deep cleaning, inside cabinets, detail blinds and picking up clutter.

Is there anything that you won’t do?

We provide house cleaning services inside your home. We don’t do:

Carpet steam cleaning
Wipe bulbs and glass fixtures
Put away dishes
Clean chandeliers
Moving or lifting anything over 25 lbs
Stepping higher than 2 steps on a ladder
Cleaning bio-hazards (mold, blood, bodily fluids)
Hoarding, high levels of trash/debris
Cleaning up animal waste
Cleaning cat litter box and on floor
Cleaning insects/rodents
Heavy scrubbing walls/doors
Cleaning high to reach areas & windows
Washing exterior windows

Why is my discount code not working?

Some discounts are for first-time customers only and some are for recurring customers only. In addition, some discounts are only one-time, and will not work for future service. There might be a couple reasons why a specific discount code no longer works. Please contact us if you have any questions.

What if I don’t want all of my bedrooms and bathrooms cleaned?

We want to offer our clients a service that fits their situation. We have a flexible hourly service option that will allow you to decide how much you would like us to clean. If you need help coming up with an estimate for your needs, please contact us.

Do you do move-out cleanings?

Yes, if you would like a move-out cleaning, please choose the deep cleaning option, plus any additional services such as inside cabinets, inside windows, etc. that you would like included in the service.

What is the difference between a standard and deep cleaning?

Standard cleaning is meant for a home that has been regularly maintained. A deep cleaning adds more time to the booking to focus on those areas that have not been regularly maintained such as wiping baseboards, fronts of cabinets/drawers in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room, wiping the door frames and handles, light switches, and extra attention to showers/tubs.

Should I tip my cleaners?

While leaving a tip for your cleaners is not mandatory, you are always welcome to leave them a tip for a job well done. There are several ways you can leave a tip for your cleaners:

(1) you can leave them cash at the cleaning, or
(2) you can log into your account and apply a tip to the booking, or
(3) you can contact us through email, chat or phone after the cleaning and ask us to apply a tip to your credit card. We will make sure it gets to your cleaners for you!

Will I get the same team every time?

We will make every effort to send the same team every time. If one of our team members is sick or on vacation we will be sure to send a substitute team member or team so that you will receive continued service. You can also request a specific team member or team in the note and we will do our best to honor your request.

Trust & Safety

Can I trust my cleaning professional?

Yes! We know letting someone into your home is a big deal, so we take a lot of care vetting our maids for safety and quality. They have all undergone extensive background and reference checks, as well as a strict interview process. All of our maids are experienced professionals – the best in the South Florida area!

What happens if something goes wrong during my appointment?

If anything goes wrong during your appointment, please call the office at (888) 356-2437.

Quality – If you are not happy with your cleaning for any reason, please call the office within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will make arrangements to come back to make it right.

Breakage – Our maids are extremely careful with our customer’s belongings. However, accidents can happen. When they do, our policy is to inform you immediately. We will pay up to $100 per breakage item when the value is verified. Please move expensive figurines, art, and glassware to a safe location when we are in your home to clean.

Is my billing information kept safe and secure?

We have three levels of security in place. First, our booking page is protected by Let’s Encrypt SSL. Secondly, our booking form has its own layer of 256-bit security. Third, credit card transactions are processed by Stripe and layered on their own 256-bit security protocol. In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system (only a token that allows us to charge the card).

Rest assured we take security very very seriously.

Do the cleaning professionals go through a background check?

Yes, they do. We run a detailed nationwide background check on all applicants as the last step in our hiring process.

What is your satisfaction guarantee policy?

If you are not completely satisfied with your cleaning, we will come out and re-clean the affected areas completely free of charge within 48 hours, no questions asked, provided that you notify us within 24 hours of the service.

Are you licensed and bonded?

Yes. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured.


When am I charged for my cleaning?

We place a hold on the card you have on file with us 24 hours prior to your cleaning appointment and charge your card after your cleaning has been completed. (Note: The exception is if you purchased a gift certificate your card will be charged at the time of purchase)

How can I be assured that my payment information is secure?

Our website service provided uses the most highly encrypted and secure software available in the industry through a secure SSL connection, and your transactions are insured through our providers.

What form of payments do you accept for your services?

We accept credit card payments only. No checks, cash, or other payment options are available, and payment is due at time of service.

Gift Certificates

How can I redeem my gift certificate?

You can redeem by scheduling your cleaning online and using your gift certificate code in the discount field on our book now page.

Can I use my gift certificate towards more than one cleaning?

Yes, we are willing to work with our clients to make sure that your certificates are used to until the balance is depleted.

How can I tell what balance I have remaining on my gift certificate?

Once you have created an account from the email you received when the gift card was sent to you, you will be able to view and schedule your cleaning and/or balance from within your account.

Are gift certificates refundable or transferable?

Due to the nature of gift certificates, we are unable to refund any gift certificates that have been purchased more than 30 days prior to the purchase date, and they can only be redeemed by the purchaser or the individual that the gift was intended for.

Do gift certificates have an expiration date?

Yes, gift certificates are good for up to 12 months from the date of purchase. If they are not used within those 12 months you will not be able to schedule your cleaning utilizing the gift code provided.
